Als erstes wurde die Teilnahme von CoD4 an der EPS Saison 16 bekanntgegeben, so verkündete man nun die Aufnahme von Quake Live in die EPS. In einer Supportet EPS spielt man dabei um ein Preisgeld von 3.200€. Quake Live ist damit auch der erste 1on1-Shooter, dem die Ehre zu teil wird, Teil der EPS zu sein. Die Matches werden im Best of Three von 16 Spielern gespielt, die, wie in einer EPS üblich, neben Premium auch Trusted 3 benötigen, um sich auf den Maps Campgrounds (qzdm6), Lost World (qzdm13), Furious Heights (qztourney7), House of Decay (qztourney9) und Blood Run (ztntourney1) messen zu dürfen. Außerdem muss man sich erfolgreich durch einen der 4 Qualifikationscups gekämpft haben. Alle Halbfinalisten der Cups qualifizieren sich dann automatisch für die EPS 16. Die Fünft-Achtplatzierten dürfen in einem Nachrückercup am 31.01.2010 ihr Können unter Beweis stellen und gemäß ihrer Platzierung im Bedarfsfall nachrücken! Die Daten der Qualifikationscups: 1.
